The Foodie Diary - February 2018

Been a heck of a few weeks hasn't it?

The good thing is I get to post my first Foodie Diary episode of the year. Worthy way to kick off after such a long time if I say so myself :)

This will be a string of three posts in one (triple 'tha' pleasure...)

First was on the 13th February, which was the 30th birthday dinner for a mutual friend of a friend-turned-sister (you got that, didn't you?)
And it was my first time having to FINALLY have a meal at Crust and Cream! Yippee!

Making a choice off their menu was literally a struggle seeing as I had to pick what worked with my pocket and what I was certain will also work with my taste buds. But I always somehow happen to make the best-pocket-friendly choice in the room. My super power perhaps?

I opted for the Shrimp Creole and a glass of a fruity smoothie drink which I cannot remember the name but I can never forget the taste cause it was oh-so-divine.

Let's just say I gave a big 'burp' and tapped my pocket with glee at the end of this.

Next was at Pinkberry; which just launched in Nigeria. If they so happen to open an outlet in my neighborhood, it is definitely going to be my one stop shop for yummy froyos cause they are that good.
Not to forget how hospitable their staff were, even when my friends and I kept requesting for and pretty much tasted all the samples (and more) of each flavor.

To think I hated yogurt when I was a kid. My dad (may he rest in peace) will be utter shocked right now.

Sigh. The waffle was freshly made and warm and melted so well with the froyo in my mouth. In other words, it was to die for! *licks lips*

And finally was at FabJuiceBar. I was heading home from work one evening and needed something to cool off and a smoothie was the way to go.
A little background story here. So I just happened to become good friends with one of the co-owners of the (family) business towards the end of last year. He surprised me with a Mixed Berry Blush flavor (I love me some berries in my smoothie) but it was all frozen from the night before and I didn't really get to enjoy it the way I wished :(

Luckily for me, I just discovered that day after work that they have an outlet in Surulere (which is where I live) and got myself the Pineapple Paradise smoothie.

Pineapples+Bananas = Win Win.

As always, more to come!
