KediKe

I am a sucker for photography, one of the many reasons I love magazines (not to forget the smell of the pages. Yep. I am quite the weird female, I know)

So when I stumbled on these shots by Photographer, Emmanuel Oyeleke on the artiste, Chidinma's Instagram page I was smitten. The simplicity yet charming beauty of each piece warmed my heart. Forgive me. I can get a bit overwhelmed sometimes.

I couldn't help but want to share them on here and even name them as well, which I must say I'm quite impressed with myself *grins*

Take a peek and share your thoughts...if any :)

Ms. Pancakes

For those who don't know Ms. Pancakes, she's a character in Rick and Morty (I blame my friend for getting me on the R&M bandwagon) whose catch phrase is and I quote;

Fun Fact: She happens to be my alter ego.
Once again, I blame that same friend for making that stick.

With relation to that, seeing that most people (who care to take out time to read my ramblings) have no idea about my person, I thought what better way to share some of that than on here.

So if 'you don't knooow me'...I guess you kinda sorta will after this.

Just incase you didn't know *smirk*

The Foodie Diary - February 2018

Been a heck of a few weeks hasn't it?

The good thing is I get to post my first Foodie Diary episode of the year. Worthy way to kick off after such a long time if I say so myself :)

This will be a string of three posts in one (triple 'tha' pleasure...)

First was on the 13th February, which was the 30th birthday dinner for a mutual friend of a friend-turned-sister (you got that, didn't you?)
And it was my first time having to FINALLY have a meal at Crust and Cream! Yippee!

Making a choice off their menu was literally a struggle seeing as I had to pick what worked with my pocket and what I was certain will also work with my taste buds. But I always somehow happen to make the best-pocket-friendly choice in the room. My super power perhaps?

I opted for the Shrimp Creole and a glass of a fruity smoothie drink which I cannot remember the name but I can never forget the taste cause it was oh-so-divine.

Let's just say I gave a big 'burp' and tapped my pocket with glee at the end of this.

Next was at Pinkberry; which just launched in Nigeria. If they so happen to open an outlet in my neighborhood, it is definitely going to be my one stop shop for yummy froyos cause they are that good.
Not to forget how hospitable their staff were, even when my friends and I kept requesting for and pretty much tasted all the samples (and more) of each flavor.

To think I hated yogurt when I was a kid. My dad (may he rest in peace) will be utter shocked right now.

Sigh. The waffle was freshly made and warm and melted so well with the froyo in my mouth. In other words, it was to die for! *licks lips*

And finally was at FabJuiceBar. I was heading home from work one evening and needed something to cool off and a smoothie was the way to go.
A little background story here. So I just happened to become good friends with one of the co-owners of the (family) business towards the end of last year. He surprised me with a Mixed Berry Blush flavor (I love me some berries in my smoothie) but it was all frozen from the night before and I didn't really get to enjoy it the way I wished :(

Luckily for me, I just discovered that day after work that they have an outlet in Surulere (which is where I live) and got myself the Pineapple Paradise smoothie.

Pineapples+Bananas = Win Win.

As always, more to come!

The #rePlay Series: ePisode 9

Hey Hey!

Happy New Year You!!!
And for sticking around long enough (3rd Year Blogiversary is in 6 days. Ayyy!) to take out time to read my 'not-so-frequent' posts (my bad), you're far too kind :)

I type this with chills (the good kind) running down my spine. Reason being I've got my earphones plugged into my ears, sending the symphony of a sensational song into my brain on replay.

This sensational song...

Loren Allred's voice has stolen my heart. And the way she oozed of effortless grace during her performance??
Urgh! Just giving me goosies anyhow!

Plus it doesn't help that the chorus is so romantic and has that oh-so-sweet tempo *sheds a mushy tear*

If you haven't seen The Greatest Showman yet, you def should. I am not a crazy fan of musicals trust me, but the songs rendered in this had a different air to them- the voices, the lyrics, the moves...

Again, Sensational.

The Foodie Diary - 28th October 2017

It's been a loooong time coming but it's here again! Whoopdidooo!
Definitely my best blog section for reasons you all must know by now.

Let's get down to it.

So one of my 'adopted baby sisters' birthday fell on the 11th October and we, being my adopted Papa, older sister (story for another day) and I decided to give her (and ourselves of course) a treat and thus, we found ourselves at La Brioche. (even the name sounds yummy doesn't it?)
Check them out on Instagram here : @labriocheng

We planned this way ahead but we had to wait till after payday as we did not intend on washing plates biko.

Anyhu, feast your eyes on this;

Papa's...

BuKOKO's (the adopted older sis)...

Samosa's (the 'Belated Birthday Girl' and adopted baby sis)...

and Yours Truly *licks lips*

I was this close to stealing the cutlery #QuiteQuaint <3

My new love for Mimosas.
Blame it on Papa.

CheerZ!

The Visit to See The Queen Pt. 2

As promised.

So I managed to get a major breather today at work and figure out the upload technicality problem to FINALLY post pictures from my vacation.

Less words. More pictures.
Enjoy! :)

The top notch part of travelling to London alone is the transportation system.
To be honest, the TFL (Transport For London) map got me all topsy turvy the first time. But in a day or two, I got a hang of it, just like *snaps fingers* that.

And of course, Google Maps was pretty much my best friend.
I see 'Piccadilly line' and I'm home free. Lol.
#ActonTown

But of course! *grins*

'Cause my birthday fell on a wedding day...
#ToluWedsStephen #NigeriaMeetsGhana

So one of my favorite persons in the world told me about Be At One.
Luckily, my friends and I found it on the night of my birthday.
Let's just say we had fun, fun, fun!

NB: Apparently, this was my first time in a club...like ever.
Yep. True Story...

The bar tender's signature cocktail...I think

#FullOnTouristMode
Good thing that all the spots I planned to visit were in Westminster, a stone's throw away from each other.
And thanks to my sister's sis-in-law who resides in London, I was able to get a London Big Adventure ticket at an ace discount - for 5 attractions!

Who no like awoof? *hehe*

The queue to get in though *whew*

Taking pictures and video recordings were not allowed during the London Dungeon tour.
So all the fond memories are pretty much well...in my memory.
PS: I got to meet Ms. Lovett #SweeneyTodd *grins teeth*

This experience just made me feel like a little kid again :)

I always seem to Find Nemo though...

Just couldn't resist taking a shot of this cute lil' family :)

'
Fanta Lemon and Fanta Orange...apparently.

In case y'all didn't know, that is the REAL London Bridge.

*drum rolls* Aaaaand, my favorite  part!

Foooood Glorious Fooooood!

Remember the plan to hangout with a friend of mine at Canary Wharf the day before my birthday?
Well, we decided to order in instead, have a glass (or two) of wine and chill at her apartment.
Pretty good call if you ask me.

A visit to my god mum's was a priority as I had never met her in person before.
And boy, was she ready to feed me to stupor!
Jollof rice never tasted soooo good...

Had a plum for the first time as well.
My reaction? 'Plum! Yum!!'

I had a major target to get me some Ben & Jerry's ice cream when I got there.
#MissionAccomplished

This Blueberry slush from the Sea Life London Aquarium was so lush!

 I think I found myself a winner!
#FishFilletBurger

I always make the best choices....

It's the Gingerbread Man! *grin*

Shephard's Pie for the win. *licks lips*

LOL. As always...

Sure thing I had to bring some goodies home to the fam...

Always, always, always the window seat <3
